We need your help! There are many ways you can contribute to the W̱MÍYEŦEN Nature Sanctuary. Your support ​will have a positive benefit for the whole region, local community and nature.

Make a Charitable Donation (Tax Deductible)

There are several ways you can donate directly. You donate money online with CanadaHelps.org or you can send us a cheque. Donations are tax deductible. There are many different programs and way to give. You can learn more about the other ways to donate on our Donate page.

Join our Volunteer List

If you like what we are doing and would like to help us out, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for people to occasionally help with;

  • Administration
  • Fundraising
  • Promotion
  • Site & trail restoration & clean up
  • Nature House Renos
  • Communications
  • Social Media
  • Event Greeter
  • Event Set Up
  • Removing Invasive Plants
  • Spirit of Nature Walks

Download our Volunteer Application Form, select the downward pointing arrow in the top right hand corner to download the form to you computer. Next you will open the PDF with a reader. You can fill it in on your computer by selecting the tools tab of adobe reader and selecting fill and sign; be sure to indicate the type of tasks you are interested in. Once complete you can save it and print it to sign or insert your signature with the sign button on the right side of the fill and sign tab. If you have not done this before you will be guided to create a signature.

When you become a member of the Greater Victoria Greenbelt Society you become part of a community of people who are supporting the preservation of the land at the W̱MÍYEŦEN Nature Sanctuary (formerly Mary lake) as well as all the beings that live there.
It also helps the granting foundations see the level of community support we have which is one of the criteria for providing financial support.

W̱MÍYEŦEN Nature Sanctuary lies within the traditional territories of the WSÁNEC (Saanich) Coast Salish Peoples.

​We recognize the integral role the ancestors of the WSÁNEC Coast Salish Peoples play as past and present day stewards of the Highlands lands.
